Linen Stories
In Linen Stories we work with textile and we examine the mental knots that makes us who we are.
Knots
The performance is based on the term “Je me suis mise dans de beaux draps” that means “I have become entangled in a difficult situation”. In this performance, dancer Yvonne Wiche Levinsen collaborates with director and artistic coach Claire Heggen - Théâtre du Mouvement. Yvonne animates a big cotton canvas, making sculptural images and composing a story through the dancers relation to the canvas. Through the constant transformation of the canvas on stage, questions about women and society are touched upon: what is the natural female role, what is the cultural female role and how can the woman find herself and be free?
The performance is still under production.
Teenagers from 16 years, duration: 45 minutes
The Knots We are Made of
The performance “The Knots We are Made of” is an exploration of shadows and traumas that is inherited through generations.
Each person is the result of all the generations before him; Our ancestors live within us and shape us, for better or worse. Through meditation and introspection of our own body, we step into the destinies and events that have shaped our ancestors, and thus also ourselves.
"The Knots We are Made of" is an attempt to make visible the invisible that controls our lives.
Adults, duration: 35 minutes
The Stuff We are Made of
The starting point of the project was to create a performance about peoples’ interaction with each other and all the big and small struggles that complicate their lives. Working with different materials, many stories emerged from domestic and relational themes like mother child, friendship, abuse etc.
